Bio
Hi! I am Elijah an inspiring singer, model, and performer from the small town of Claxton Georgia. Growing up I wasn’t the most confident despite the bold fashion style and powerful performances that I have today. I was very actually insecure when I was younger.
Growing up I was bullied and teased a ‘lot for not being the American society’s standards of a “boy.” While the other boys were outside on the playground playing basketball or football. you could find me on the sidelines playing and acting like a “world famous popstar” or a Pro-dancer”. aside from me not being the regular boy I had a higher talking voice than many. So I would get mimicked a lot and asked by other kids” why do you talk like that?” or “you sound like a girl” and soon I found myself disliking who I was and wishing I could be someone different. I even remember praying to God asking him “why did I have to be like this” and “I want to be regular”. But this all changed. Because of music. Because of singing.
I can still remember the first chorus class I walked into in the 4th grade. we all started singing and during the song, everyone stopped and looked at me like as if I had committed a crime. Soon I found myself being a nobody being on stage in front of 50, 60, and hundreds of people. My biggest insecurity became my biggest strength and from then I realized I was put on this earth to perform and give a stage. I am a High school Graduate and a freshman at Savannah State University. Majoring in voice and theater. I want to become a universal and all-rounder performer in all genres. And I also want to be an influence for the kids of Claxton and young boys all over the world that don’t fit American society standards and show that being different is was makes you special and that if you just be yourself, you can make it out.
Where I am from a lot of people don’t go places, they end up on the streets or not doing anything with themselves but I want to be the one to break that standard, and don’t get me wrong I have my days and I’m still fighting for my chance to be on stage forever but despite that, I am here. and I’m not going anywhere. So, watch out because this won’t be the last time you hear about Elijah.
